Lounge rules
Ben (Big Block)

This here sub-forum is a space for people to gather and talk about anything that isn't one of our games (...but our games are so good, why would you ever want to talk about anything else?) Feel free to be as irreverent, random and/or crazy as you feel like- but we do have a few of house rules. 1) No flaming. Be nice to each other. 2) No spam. If you want to sell your Ford Buick, there'll surely be somebody on Craigslist willing to buy it. No exceptions, not even for weapons-grade plutonium. Not after that one guy sold us a shoddy bomb casing filled with pinball machine parts. 3) A little mild profanity is fine, but only a little- this isn't a locker room at the NFL (do they swear a lot at the NFL? The main sport in this country is cricket, they don't swear very much). We'd like to keep this the kind of site that all audiences can browse. 4) Relatedly, no links to pornography. The development team needs to work occasionally, and the internet is distracting enough as it is. 5) The Admins basically reserve the right to do whatever we need/want to around the forums, no questions answered. We will strive to avoid IAPoM (Internet Admin Power Madness). 6) No malicious links (Spyware, etc). 7) No starting empty/one word/poster-was-obviously-too-high-to-form-a-coherent-sentence threads. We tend to just reflexively assume this stuff is spam. 8) Apparently, we're legally advised to tell people not to plan/discuss any real world crimes or criminal acts within our webspace. Not even piracy- the fun kind, with boats. So, you know, don't do that. 9) We repeat: Be nice to each other.

What year is the Buick?

Wait so it's okay for someone(CoughmeCough) to start a forum adventure here with out being classed as spam?

Ben (Big Block)

Okay, okay, we'll consider making exceptions for 1936 Century, 1946 Roadmaster Convertible and 1965 Wildcat Buicks. But no Fords! @Rumrusher- I have to admit, I'm not sure what a forum adventure is. Is it... like... the Wizard of Oz, but in a forum?

Rumrusher

Well if Dorthy was being told what to do by the audience(members of the forum) the entire time during her journey. It's like a adventure game like zork, colossal cave, or monkey island, only done through a forum using posts and text(and maybe pictures).

Ben (Big Block)

Oh, I see- well, yup, feel free. The only thing is, when you're doing that sort of thing, clearly label it as such in the thread title; any kind of storytelling at all on our site, I'm required to stay well away from. Otherwise, if I happen to write a gameplot (or anything else) that somehow resembles one of your adventures, it might look like I've gone appropriating your ideas. In general, as long as it doesn't go against the rules above, you can start pretty much anything you want here without asking prior permission- that's the point! If we don't like it, don't worry, we'll let you know.

Looks like there's a forum bug!

Rumrusher

using any crazy plot from my forum game might make me feel honored. Though I can see what you mean.

Oh..... So we can't talk about Black Market here? I get it! We might as well take all posts off of Black Market since technically its a crinimals game...
